True Union Spring Check valve. Easy entry removable body, for visual inspections or cleaning. Available in clear. Each valve is specially designed to be disassembled by unscrewing the nuts in line leaving the tail pieces solvent cemented to the pipe. This true union allows you to remove the body for repairs, or cleaning, even providing the opportunity to change the body or spring tension. The 170020 valve is white. Features: Sizes 1½" & 2" IPS Standard spring tension ½ lb. (other spring loads available on special request) EPDM seal and "O" Rings 200 PSI static pressure rating @ 72ºF Stainless steel spring Excess solvent trap

Cons: None

The check valve works great and is easy to install. If you order this from the pool store is will cost 2 time the cost.
