If you are repairing your pool pump or pool pump motor consider purchasing a GO-KIT. Each GO-KIT contains the replacement seals and gaskets you will need to repair your pump. A typical GO-KIT like the one pictured here for a Hayward pump, contains the motor shaft seal (2 parts), the pump housing gasket, the pump lid o-ring, and the diffuser gasket. We have written How-To Guides that describe in detail where each of these parts are installed and how to install them. This guide points to each of the applicable installation guides. Note: These GO-KIT are generally unique to the make and model of the pump. Order the GO-KIT specified for your pump's make and model.

The correct gasket kit is matched to the pump housing and not the motor. We would need to know the make and model of your pump housing to find the correct parts.

Will a go-kit3v kit work with a Emerson swimming pool motor? Thanks

The GOKIT3 will work as long as your Emerson motor is attached to a Hayward Super Pump.

Hello Ken - It's possible, but rare, to get a bad shaft seal. Check the shaft seal for any cracks. The more common cause is incorrect installation. Another cause could be a cracked seal plate.

Water coming out top area where pump motor and pump join. Replaced the seal with a new one from the Go-Kit and the leakage did reduce somewhat, but is still there. Suggestions? Would a bad shaft seal lead to leakage from that area?

GOKIT - Century and A.O Smith are motor names and they are used on most pumps. Sounds like you have a Hayward pump with a Century motor. The GOKIT has to match the model of the pump. Look for any labels on the pump that would identify the model of the pump - like Hayward Super or Hayward Power Flo. Then buy the GOKIT that is matched to that pump.

I purchased the go kit recommended for the replacement motor I bought. The instructions for using the kit show a different motor. How do I get the p[roper instructions for my motor? It is a BN25V1 model. I thought it was a Hayward motor but it says Century on the housing.

Jetsticks - GOKIT14 is the correct repair kit for your Jacuzzi Magnum pump. Someone else called on the same problem. When he cleaned the shaft and impeller with a cloth and applied silicon lubricant, he was able to get the parts together easily. On the other gaskets be sure to clean out the grooves and lubricate the tops of the gaskets.

I purchased the GoKit for my Jacuzzi motor. However, the shaft seal that goes on the impeller does not fit. It is too tight and I don't want to force in on for fear that this will also prevent the motor shaft from turning. I'm not even sure I can force it on anyway. The kit was for a 1 HP UST 1102 Jacuzzi motor.
