Do you carry the base tread for this ladder?
Reply
Yes we do carry the base tread for this ladder, the base tread is the tread that actually touches the pool liner on the inside of the pool and the tread that touches the ground on the outside of the pool. This tread can be purchased here in WHITE http://www.inyopools.com/Products/06300025046514.htm

Pros: Built solid and easy to assemble.
Cons: Modifying the legs to fit a 42" pool requires cutting.
This is a very good option if you, like me, are a big person and want a substantial ladder for entering an Intex 42 inch pool. This ladder is build quite well and is relatively easy to assemble. One major draw back is the need to saw off the support legs to fit a 42" pool. Required that all four supports be cut off by 5 inches, to allow the lower legs to be shortened to a total height of 43 inches. Not difficult for those who are handy, but a challenge for those who are not.

(4 out of 5 stars) Great ladder for soft-sided pools!
Reviewed By: Ann V. from Waterloo, IL ()
My husband and I purchased this ladder with the stabilizer kit (which is sold separate on this site) as a substitute for the ladder that came with our Intex pool. We were impressed with the quality right out of the box. It's a 200% improvement on the Intex ladder and works well with the soft sided pool. We were surprised how large the stabilizer feet really are; the picture does not do them justice. It adds welcome stability for chubby-size swimmers. The only "con" I could say about the ladder is that the top hand rails could be more sturdy. You cannot put a lot of pressure on them and certainly don't want anyone trying to support their body weight

(4 out of 5 stars) Good ladder for soft sided Intex pools
Reviewed By: Ernie T. from Rohnert Park, CA ()
Pros: Very stable and safer.
Cons: Price
We have a 18' soft sided Intex pool and this ladder is much more stable then the ladder that came with the pool. The steps are wider and the handrails are higher and is much easier to turn around with the platform. We highly recommend the stabilizer kit. My wife, kids and parents are very happy with this ladder.

(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect ladder for Intex Ultra-frame pools
Reviewed By: THOMAS G. from NEW ORLEANS, LA ()
Pros: Wide steps, easy to assemble, price, stability when in use.
Cons: Outside ladder release mechanism difficult to release, top handrail rail could be more rigid.
I purchased this ladder for my Intex Ultra-frame 9' X 18" above-ground pool with the added stabilizer kit. It was easy to assemble by myself. It has enough weight to keep it stable in the pool, though I put stakes in the ground to prevent it from walking towards the pool and rubbing against the lining during use. Since you cannot drill into the top rail of the Intex pool the stabilizer bar really keeps it from wobbling during use. The steps are wide enough for you to enter and exit with ease. The handrails are tall enough to make you feel secure when at the top of the ladder, though they could be a little more rigid. The steps on the outside can be raised to prevent children and pets from entering, though the release mechanism is a bit difficult for weak or arthritic hands. I shopped on-line for a replacement ladder for my pool and this one is the best out there for the money.

(2 out of 5 stars) Above ground A-Frame Ladder White
Reviewed By: M Acevedo from FLORIDA, PR ()
Pros: Good Materal
Cons: The Ladder is not steady,
I bought this ladder for my above ground pool. The material of the ladder is good, but when you place the parts together the ladder is off balance. My husband & his friend tried everything to firm it but still out of balance.
