Hello Romeo, All you would have to cut the original valve out and re-plumb the one with unions into you PVC.

Because I have an existing setup, and due to the fact I don't have much space to work with, I need to know the dimensions of the product to see if the diverter will fit my current set up.

I have a 3-way diverter valve that I want to replace with one with that has unions since I'm replacing the entire pump. The valve has both 2" an 1-1/2" lines glued into the slip-on

Hi, Chuck. This valve can be used for 1-1/2" or 2" valve. I would recommend using all 2" pipe for the new installation.

I want to bypass my heater. Can I use any of the ports as the inlet ? Please explain. Thank you.

Hi, JDS. The installation or setup of the will determine which port will be designated as the inlet. The parallel ports will be used as the inlet, use this Manual Bypass Diagram as a guide.

Will a 1.5 inch hose fit over the slip? Or is it 2 inch outer 1 5 inner?

Hi, Nicole. This Diverter Valve is designed for 1-1/2" pvc only socket connection, not hoses. As for the 2" pvc option, the P/N is 25923-209-000.

Great valve. 3-way valves can be tough to position and glue sometimes, so the unions make it much easier. Also, love the ability to disassemble for future repair. The handle turns very smoothly.

I re-plumbed my pool pump with these 3-Way Diverter Valves and the union on each port is very convenient. The valves I replaced were all glued to PVC pipe and had to be replaced/thrown away as there is no way to re-use them. My old system was plagued by air being drawn in on the suction side of the pump. When I was done re-plumbing all the air infiltration was gone... I was so pleased I can't tell you how long I have been putting up with the air in the system... I thought I had a leak in an under ground line running between the pool and the pump (by the house), I had refurbished the old valves and purchased various leak liquid products as well as applying silicon around each fitting/valve port, etc.. still the air was getting in and made me convinced that it must be the under ground line that was "nicked' by an excavator when I had an addition to the house, but thought I had repaired... some years later the air started getting into the system and I thought the repair didn't last long. By now that under ground pipe was beneath patio pavers... making digging it up and re-repairing a bit more complex. To my amazement when I finished re-plumbing the pool pump with these 3-Way Diverter valves the system no longer sucks air!

Pros: quality, performance
Cons: none
These valves are slick. Electric heater on my old hot tub failed so bypassed it with 1 1/2 PVC. Using two of these valves I can divert heated water to pool or hot tub. The included unions were a plus, could not find these anywhere else.
