AeroTemp heat pump had water spraying from the bottom of the black rubber cap that sticks out of the top of the condenser. Clipped the black zip tie and removed the black rubber cap and the sensor well and saw a tear in the well. If I buy this replacement part is there anything special I have to do besides screw it in and stick the thermostat sensor in it? It only leaks when the pool pump is on, is there a way to bypass this in the meantime so I can run the pool pump and not lose water? Thanks!

The thermostat well just screws into the top of the heat exchanger and the temperature sensor sits in the well. You would need to bypass the entire heat pump to keep from losing water.

I have a leak in my sensor well. My AeroTemp heat pump is model AT12000 installed in 2002.. Does it matter if I use the 1113KIT copper well or the STK113A plastic well kit? Looks like the original was the plastic one.

This unit would use the plastic well, STK1113A. Best to use the plastic one.
