Product Description

Pool Antifreeze

Pool Antifreeze protects your pool plumbing over the winter. Our antifreeze will protect pool plumbing down to -50° F. This pool antifreeze is totally safe for swimming pool use and non-toxic. Safe for all types of pool plumbing.

  • Helps protect pool lines from freezing when properly used.
  • Non-toxic: Blue
  • 1 Gallon (use one gallon of pool-specified antifreeze for every 10 feet of pipe)

Directions::

  • Drain all pool plumbing, piping, and valves. Close all valves and replace plugs.
  • Blow out each return line from where the filter or heater was attached with an air compressor or wet/dry vacuum. Blow out the skimmer line from the plumbing attached to the pump.
  • Plug the inlets to prevent water from re-entering the plumbing after they have been cleared out. If you have them, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Add antifreeze to the plumbing according to the protection chart.

When you open the pool in the spring, the antifreeze is non-toxic so there’s no draining of equipment or pipes needed before the pool is operational. At E-Z Test Pool Supplies our antifreeze brand of choice is Omega -50F Non-Toxic Pool Line Anti-Freeze with burst protection down to -50 when used at full strength.

Why does your anti-freeze come in quarts? I'm used to seeing this in gallon sizes.

Our antifreeze is concentrated so 1 quart mixed with 3 quarts of water will make 1 gallon of antifreeze that will protect pool plumbing down to -40° F. If you want even lower temperature protection you can  add less water.
