Just place the Skimmer Guard into your skimmer to absorb any expansion caused by freezing water. The freezing water will actually compress the Skimmer Guard instead of expanding outward and cracking your skimmer. The bottom of the Skimmer Guard fits either a 1-1/2" or 2" internal thread.

The NW300 Skimmer Guard from Blue Wave is listed as being "no longer available". I have been unable to find any kind of replacement for this on your site. Surely you do have something available to help with winterizing my skimmer. Can you help me find it?
Hello Greg- Unfortunately the only alternatives for that will be the I/G Threaded Winterizing Plug 1 - 1/2" - NW310 and one of the winter plugs on this page.
