Following chemical treatment, how long do I have to wait before I use my pool?
Reply
With the exception of superchlorinating (which requires waiting until the chlorine level drops to recommended levels), you can generally use your pool when the chemical is dispersed throughout the pool. Fifteen minutes to one hour is a good rule of thumb.

How do I break chlorine lock?
Reply
One of the main reasons that chlorine can become "locked" is that too much stabilizer has accumulated over the course of time. Stabilizer (cyanuric acid) can build up over a long period of time, sometimes months or even years. Once the stabilizer reaches high levels, the chlorine in the water is useless. The only way to break the lock is to reduce the level of cyanuric acid in the pool. The quickest way to do this is to add fresh water to the pool. This will help dilute the acid levels in the pool so that the chlorine will become more effective. Pools should be partially drained and refilled (every 3 years or so).

Inyo shipped immediately. Product arrived in good shape; weight was accurate. Easy to handle; dissolves almost instantly. 8 oz gives about 1 ppm FAC in 30,000 gallon pool as expected.

(5 out of 5 stars) fine chlorine granules

Pros: dissolve quickly, do the job on alge
Cons: none
Good price on the 50 lbs. bucket. Was shipped quickly after I ordered but unfortunately lid on bucket was not on securely & about an inch of the granules was on the bottom of the container box. Looked back & saw fine white trail from pool around to front porch where I had loaded it w/handtruck. Didn't loose that much & product seems to work fine.

Pros: works fast to clear water...powerful stuff
I mixed a few pounds of this chlorine in a large bucket of water and dumped it around the perimeter of my pool a week prior to my pool opening. By the next day my green pool water was almost clear and in less than 2 days I could see no more algae or green residue on my pool walls.
