Product Description

Pool Care water balance chemicals
The first, most important step to proper pool care is to keep your pool water in balance. This will ensure that you are getting the most effective use of your chemicals. Test daily to ensure that pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid (stabilizer) are within the correct levels.

Stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid)
Stabilizer keeps chlorine in your swimming pool longer, prolonging the life of chlorine. Pool Solutions Stabilizer helps reduce the loss of chlorine due to direct sunlight by as much as 25%.
  • 4 lb container
  • Maintain cyanuric levels 30 to 50 ppm for maximum results
  • Complete instructions for dosage on container
  • Cuts chlorine loss by up to 25%

Following chemical treatment, how long do I have to wait before I use my pool?

With the exception of superchlorinating (which requires waiting until the chlorine level drops to recommended levels), you can generally use your pool when the chemical is dispersed throughout the pool. Fifteen minutes to one hour is a good rule of thumb.

How do I add this stabilizer to my pool?

One of the most efficient ways to add this chemical to your pool is by first shutting off the pool pump, removing the pump basket, putting the pump lid back on, turning the pump back on, then lastly slowly adding the stabilizer into the skimmer. This will allow the stabilizer to be caught by the filter slowly dissolving it as water passes through it over the next 48 hrs. Be sure to put the pump basket back once you have added all the stabilizer needed.
