Model # W3AQ-TROL-RJ-TL

Alternate Part #'s W3AQTROLRJTL, HPPW3AQTROLRJTL

Product Description

The Aqua Trol Electronic Chlorine Generator (also known as a salt chlorinator) is designed specifically for above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. The Aqua Trol has all the same functions and features of the Aqua Rite but with a lower chlorine output.

The Aqua Trol also has an integral time clock for control of the pool filtration pump. Since many above ground pools already have a single electrical outlet for the filter pump, the Aqua Trol is designed with an outlet (timer controlled) for the filter pump to plug into, the Aqua Trol then plugs into the original outlet the filter pump was using. The savings on chlorine and electrical power alone (if the pump was previously running 24 hours), will have the Aqua Trol paying for itself in just a few short years. The Aqua Trol system typically installs in less than 30 minutes and is very easy to operate.

Convenience

  • Make your own chlorine.
  • Make your own pure fresh chlorine everyday and control filter pumping times.
  • Evenly disperses chlorine through the pools return jets while the filter cleans the pool water.

  • Simply test your pool water weekly and adjust the dial for more or less chlorine as needed.
  • Automatic pool filtration and chlorination everyday, whether your at home or away

  • No more chlorine tablets, granules, powders, floaters, and liquids.
  • Automatically reduces filter pump times by controlling the number of hours the filter pump runs.
  • Less use of algaecides and other specialty chemicals
  • Bathing suits don't bleach out and wear out prematurely.
  • Pool liners last longer due to constant chlorine levels, rather than unhealthy highs and lows of traditional chlorine addition
  • The kit included in the Aqua Trol provides the necessary plumbing components for either 2" (51mm) rigid PVC piping installation or 1½ - 1¼" (38-32mm) flexible hose installation.

What is the difference between the Aqua Trol HP and RJ?

The HP (Hose Pipe) version is installed in the hoses/pipes next to your pool filter, where the RJ (Return Jet) version the cell is mounted directly to the return jet on the side of your pool. Both units work exactly the same but you would need to determine which one would be easier to install from a plumbing stand point. I see you have a couple salt chlorine generators for above ground pools. Can you tell me what you would recommend and why?

I would suggest the AquaTrol Salt Chlorine Generator as it is much higher quality product than the ChlorEase. The AquaTrol has much more titanium coating on the blades of the salt cell which makes the salt cell last much longer, so you should get about 4-6 years out of the salt cell on the AquaTrol. The AquaTrol comes in several models first you can get in an HP model which would be installed in the plumbing next to your pool pump or you can get it in an RJ model which would hook up directly to the return jet on your pool (Both models perform identically, you would just need to choose the one that would work best for your application - the RJ is quite a bit less and operates the same) Lastly the AquaTrol is available with a standard 3 prong plug or a Twist Lock depending on the electrical receptacle you have available to you. I am confused. The photos all show the generator and the turbo cell as a package. Does the turbo cell come WITH the generator or is this the price of JUST the generator and then you purchase the turbo cell separately? Thanks

This price is for the complete AquaTrol with Power Supply and Turbo Cell.

I received the AquaTrol RJ Chlorine Generator but there is no flow switch. Is there supposed to be one?

According to the AQTROLRJ AquaTrol RJ Chlorine Generator owner's manual, return jet units (-RJ option) will NOT have a flow switch.  The manual further states that the RJ installation "does NOT require a flow switch--however it is very important that the cell be mounted vertically directly below the return jet in order to allow the gases produced in the cell to naturally dissipate in the pool."
