Are all Hayward Tristar Pumps considered variable speed?

>No, The only variable speed TriStar pump is model#: SP322063EEV. This pump requires either the SP3220VSC - TriStar Energy Solution Control stand alone control, or the SP3220VSCAQL - TriStar Energy Solution Control for Pro Logic

Hi, John. This Tristar 3HP Pump - SP3230EE is the complete pump for motor # SP3230Z1BE.

do i need to purchase anything else to have this pump up and running?

Hi. This pump is complete, you will just need to plumb the pump in and wire the pump. Additional accessories or parts may be required depending on your application.

Pros: Strong flow and quiet

Cons: Had to redo pic to fit

Really like this pump. Big water flow jump from my old Hayward Northstar unit. Quiet and efficient. Wish the intake/output connections were the same so I didn't have to replumb the lines...but worth the effort.

Pros: Fit old plumbing perfect

You delivered this pump in record time just before Christmas. Just got it stalled this last week end and cannot believe how much better the water circulation is compared to my old 2hp. My water fall actually looks like one now. Thanks.
