Are all Hayward Tristar Pumps considered variable speed?
Reply
>No, The only variable speed TriStar pump is model#: SP322063EEV. This pump requires either the SP3220VSC - TriStar Energy Solution Control stand alone control, or the SP3220VSCAQL - TriStar Energy Solution Control for Pro Logic

I have the OmniLogic control system, where each pump has their own relay ... is this a compatible pump for my system ? no variable speed required. also, I'm replacing a Hayward that has Century motor on it ... is there a way to rebuild the pump, or just replace the pump portion ?
Reply
Hi, You can use any single speed pump with the OmniLogic System that will provide sufficient water flow based on your pool needs. You can replace whatever parts is needed for the pump or have the motor rebuilt or replaced depending on what's wrong with the pump.

I have a 2 hp pump would a 21/2 pump do a better job of cleaning the pool (pool is 18000gallon).

Hi. In order to assist you, you will need to provide the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) of your pool and the type and size of your filter. Increasing the pump may not lead to a cleaner pool.

I'm building a 20,000 gallon rectangular pool with about 42 GPM. The pool will have 4 deck jets and 2 2ft waterfalls. Do I need 2 separate pumps, one for the pool, another for the water features? If I should go with a single pump, any recommendations on a variable speed pump?
Thanks
