I have a H250FDN NAT GAS POOL HEATER ,can I use a indoor draft hood with this heater along with 6 inch B vent, my previous heater used this set up and I was under the impression that it would be more efficient and safer? local pool guy says to remove draft hood and just go straight B vent.Heater in a pool house well vented.

Yes you can use an indoor draft hood with this heater in conjuction with the vent pipe and this is the method the manufacture says to install for a pool house installation. You should follow the H250FDN Indoor Installation Instructions listed on page 13-19 of the Hayward Heater installation guide.

Hi,
The instructions are not very clear on the installation.
I can seem to find where the red wire goes. Is there a video or better instructions for where the red wire is hooked up.
Thanks.

We have to say that in some states it is required that this installation be done by a licensed technician. The red wire will go in series to the vent pressure switch supplied. some earlier years require splicing in series, later models will have the red wire having a quick connect to add the vent pressure switch in line.

quality product, however installation instructions were too vague and misleading. Had to contact Hayward directly to resolve problems
