For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?
Reply
The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off. This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

My Jandy pool light has stopped working properly. It is dim and rapidly cycles through all the colors instead of going to the color i choose. Do you think it is the bulb or the entire fixture? Before this happened, the blue light was sort of green. Then I left the light on for several days, in the splash mode, meaning it was changing colors, now it is dim and rapidly cycling through all the colors.
Thanks!

Hi, Kelly. You can either replace the Light Engine PCB, 120V Large LED Light W/ Light Shaping Diverger - R0474100 and the Silicone Lens Gasket - R0451100 which will resolve the issue that you're having with the light and prevent you from having to run a new fixture cable through the conduit. The second option will be to replace the entire fixture.

(3 out of 5 stars) Jandy LED Lights

Pros: When they work they are ok.
Cons: Short life, expensive to replace, insane way to light a pool
I had these LED Jandy Watercolor lights installed when the pool was built about 4 years ago. They say they last for 50,000 hours. They do not. After about 3 years when changing colors two of these lights started to get out of sync. You would tell it to change to something two or three steps away and one would change slower then the other. Eventually one dies. Popped open the light and the board was clearly fried. Tried to get a new light engine - sorry, have to order the whole thing, lens, frame everything. I install the new light and fire the system up, the lights are still out of sync. Call Jandy (Zodiac) and after discussion we both agree the light I did not replace is probably defective, and may have ruined the light that blew. So, now I am replacing the other 50,000 hour light - after only about 1,500 hours. $500 plus per light these guys cost. 50,000 hours they should last. I run these things maybe 8 hours a week. Another pet peeve - red is blocked and cannot be selected- except in the USA color sequence. My kids want red - but not with these lights - only magenta - which is not red.

(5 out of 5 stars) Jandy Watercolors LED Pool Lights

Pros: lots of color...bright...kids love them
Cons: price$$, No red...only in programed "shows"
Very much like the LED lights and very glad I purchased. One impovement Jandy could make is the red lights are very cool that are used in the programs but you cannot select red as a "solo" color.
