What is the difference between the 343000 & 343001?

Hello Mike - Pentair discontinued the 343000 and replaced it with the 343001. The 343001 is now dual voltage (115/208-230) and it has a 24 hour memory retention.

Hi,
What is the warranty for this pump? Do you stand behind the product in case it has an issue when it arrives?
Thanks!

The Pentair SuperMax VS Variable Speed Pump has a 2 year warranty when installed by a qualifying licensed installer. Once the item is installed any warranty work will be handled by the manufacturer.

Hi. What is the difference between the SuperMax and SuperFlo VS models? Performance? Also, I'm wired for 115VAC, but would consider 230VAC. Will upgrading achieve better performance? I have a 13500 gal pool with solar panels. Since the GPM is low and my feet head are medium, I think a 1½hp is sufficient. Your thoughts are welcomed. Thanks!

Hi Dennis, There is not a difference performance wise between the SuperMax and SuperFlo pumps. Operating the pump using 230 volt will cost less to operate and perform better only at max rpm's. Without know the exact feet of head and other variables I can't say with a 100% certainly if this pump will be sufficient but it's possible.

is the replacement pump recommended tha I can use for a current pump AO SMITH , SQ1102

The SQ1102 would be an acceptable replacement motor if you are wanting to change from variable speed to single speed.

Can you just change to the single speed with that motor? I had my control board fry also

I currently have a 1 hp Sta-Rite Max-Glas II pool pump and I want to replace it with a variable speed pump. I would prefer staying with a Sta-Rite product but I am open to other suggestions. I also need a pump that has clear and simple installation instructions. Thanks.

That would be a great replacement to the Dura-Glas 2. The only difference is going to be your Dura- Glas 2 has inside threads on the ports and the Super Max has outside threads on the ports so there will be some replumbing.

(5 out of 5 stars) Long-term investment, worth it.

Pricey, but already huge savings on my electric bill. The unit replaced my Hayward super pump, and although I needed new couplings, the location of hookups made it pretty easy to swap out. I also really appreciate how much quieter it runs at lower speeds, which since whoever installed this pool originally put all the equipment right next to the patio.
