Probe Thermistor Defrost Sensor
What does this defrost sensor do and is it required on the Thermalflo 700? I just replaced the control board and now have SUCTION TH OPEN alarm which manual says is bad thermistor or control board...

The defrost sensor will monitor the ambient temperature. To protect the unit from freezing up.

My Ultra temp heat pump model # 460933- would not start and the screen says water temperature 53 degrees . Is it that the probe thermistor defrost sensor is bad or is it the control board ? kindly advise
