HOW MUCH WATTAGE DO I USE ON A 11000 GAL POOL TO MAKE I WORK AS GOOD AS MY 1HP PUMP. AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS PUMP AND A THREE SPEED PUMP?
Reply
Hi, Unfortunately we do not have the wattage info. This pump can be run at different speed, unlike a 3 speed pump can only run on the three pre-programmed speeds. This pump give you more options.

Is a speed vs. GPM data sheet available? What is the programmable speed range for this pump and what are the incremental steps in this range if any?

Hi Bob, This Raypak Variable Speed Pool Pump Brochure should have all the information you have requested.

Greetings, can the speed control pad be removed and wall mounted about 25' from the pump?
Reply
I don't see why not but I would recommend giving RayPak a call to have them walk you through that if it's a possibility. There number is 805-278-5300

I have an Intermatic manual timer with a Hayward salt system that is wired to come on at the same time as the timer kicks on the pump. Can this pump be installed without having to replace the Intermatic and/or rewire the salt system?
Reply
Hi David, This pump requires a timer to turn it on/off. So it can be wired to the same timer as the chlorine generator to avoid any rewiring.

No complaints so far. This pump is everything I was told to expect from a VSP. It is very quiet at lower speeds, which is what it runs at about 95 percent of the time. This pump is also fairly simple to program and operate. The best thing of all is the price. Thank you Inyo pools for a great website and terrific customer service.

Great product for the price. Ran flawlessly for over 6 years (in south Florida that would be continuous!) One day, it got senile and began forgetting what time it was, how long it was running and would randomly stop and start. Still worked like that for a few months. Finally died, but again, the price was good and all I need to do now is replace the motor. Working on it. :)

This pump was the cheapest variable pool pump I could get. It is easy to program and comes with a 2 years warranty. It will save money down the road comparing to the one speed pump it replaces. Awesome choice so far.

Pros: Quiet and efficient.
Cons: No "clock" timer. Just runs on a 24 hour timer, so if the electric goes out, it restarts the cycle from the beginning.
I researched forever for a VS pump. I decided on this pump for the price/value reason. It has been great this first season. Took me a bit to understand the programming/speed changing procedure but now it's a breeze. I run it 24/7. I have a SWG so I programmed the pump to flow enough to work with the SWG but run as efficiently as possible. It's very quiet. I'm very happy with this pump!
