is this fine mesh bag going to catch silt. is there a silt filter insert for skimmer basket and hayward pump strainer baskets

This fine mesh bag will collect small debris like sand and finer particulate. Keep in mind that the mesh bag is not a filter designed to remove debris down to the micron level. There is not a silt bag insert. The reason is the pump will not have super fine silt bags is the motor requires a certain flow rate and the silt bags would not allow the water to pass through at a high speed, thereby causing a strain on the motor and affecting the motor's performance.

Pros: fine texture
Cons: flimsy
The fabric on this is terrible, feels like prom dress organza,not at all like I've had before. I don't think it will hold up very well
