How can you tell if the Unichlor anode is defective? How can you tell if the cathode is defective?
Reply
The anode will start getting smaller like a bar of soap. On the cathode, the cathode grate will start separating. You will start to have less power when operating if the anode or cathode are going bad.

(5 out of 5 stars) Exemplary Service on Chlorinator Cathode
Reviewed By: Michael G. from Macon GA ()
The OEM for the chlorinator of which this cathode is a part tends to be expensive and will not confirm shipping/handling costs until order is placed. I saw INYO advertising what looked like the correct replacement, called them and was helped immensely in establishing that it was in fact right for my chlorinator. I ordered it, got a reasonable price and was quoted a delivery time that they actually beat. The part was correct, was well packed and in excellent condition and has functioned perfectly. I will have no hesitation in ordering from INYO again

Pros: Easy to install
Cons: none
Very easy to install. Empty fluid from unit caustic chamber, remove old cathod unit(remove wires and a couple of nuts), silicone and insert new, re-install cover.
