what are the red and blue washers for ?

Hello Michael, The blue washer is a little bigger hole compared to the red, it's to restrict water flow to (depending you HP) will give your cleaner more flow or a little less.

Arrived quickly and installed easily. Was an exact replacement. It worked for about 10 total hours before it broke apart. There appears to have only been one small area of glue holding it together.

The locking channels of the male half of my old part became so worn that it would no longer hold. I might have gotten by with just the male portion, but I bought the whole thing just to be safe. It's easy to install and works perfectly.

Part arrived timely fashion. Easy to install, however, during the first usage, the Polaris hose came off the tip. Super-Glued it back and it's working as advertised.

If it is not an OEM part you will not notice any difference. It works better than the one that was in my pool origonaly.
