Does this diffuser come with a gasket? Or do I need to buy it separately, such as from GOKIT2?
Reply
This diffuser does not come with the gasket so yes you would either need to purchase the seal kit for your specific pump model or the diffuser gasket alone.

Does this diffuser snap in like the SPX3000BN? Not seeing a way for it to do that. If not is it simply pressed on over the impeller? We are replacing a 2HP motor on our Super II Pump.

Hello, yes this diffuser will sit in place similarly to the diffuser part number SPX3000BN.

The model number on my Super Pump II is unreadable however my motor says it's a 3/4 hp. Short of it is...based on the hp I thought I would need SPX2600-B. However when I pulled my pump apart it had a damaged SP3021-B. Did it have the wrong part installed or did I now order the wrong part (SPX2600-B)?

Hello Daniel. Hayward part number SPX2600-B is the correct Diffuser for Hayward Super II Pumps manufactured in 1987 and earlier with either a Full Rate or Up Rate 3/4 HP motor. Hayward part number SPX3000-BN is the correct Diffuser for Hayward Super II Pumps manufactured in 1988 to current with either a Full Rate or Up Rate 3/4 HP motor. Hayward part number SPX3021-B is the Diffuser for Hayward Super II Pumps manufactured with a minimum of 2.0 HP (other conditions apply). Please note: the seal plate, impeller, impeller ring, and diffuser should all mate with the motor total horsepower (THP) and year of Super II Pump manufacture. Start with the motor THP and impeller, working from there.

I ordered all the necessary parts from Inyo using their charts and exploded diagrams, after determining my pump model number. You may wish to contact Inyo tech support with your existing pump model number and have them assist you with obtaining the correct parts.
After reviewing the Inyo self-help video several times, I felt confident in attempting the rebuild. With a few common tools, I was able to complete the rebuild, and the pump works great. BE SURE to shut off the electrical breaker serving the pump. Other than that caution, there are no risks involved in this repair. Your only problems may occur if your pump has severely corroded components, which may make disassembly somewhat difficult.

My diffuser cracked after my motor had stopped working and the diffuser was holding everything up. Local pool store can get the item in a week, not in stock, but Inyo was a life saver. Ordered online and had it in 2 days, a day earlier than promised. Everything is back working, thanks to Inyo. The item was easy to find online and the service was great. I highly recommend the experience!
