Unfortunately, the gray plug is not sold by itself; it is only available in this kit.

I received a brass drain plug and a yellow plug rather than the grey plug. Is this the same thing?

Hello Daniel.  According to the manufacturer, the yellow pug that comes with the brass plug, kit part number 006721F, is identical in application as the grey plug.

The Raypak drain plug in my swimming pool water heater was cracked and I needed a replacement asap.

I pulled the old plug out. It's yellow in color. I found it from the owner's manual that the part 3 was 006721F. However, after spending a few hours online, I couldn't find the part with good prices and reviews anywhere. Finally, I found this part from Inyo Pools. The picture was yellow, but the actual part I received was back. But it was an exact fit and easy drop in replacement. I have been running the pool for two weeks now with no issues.
