The individual grids for the DEX3600DC would be the FG1003 36 Sq. Ft. Full Grid and you would need 7 of those, PG1903 36 Sq. Ft. Partial Grid and you would only need 1 of those. If you need to replace the entire set you can get FG1003PACK.

I recieved the new incert for the pro grid de filter an replaced it with the old one now I can't get a prime on the pump an was wondering if there is anything I did wrong am now socking it Thank you for any help

There may have been too much water that due to gravity and loss of pressure drained back into the pool. You may simply just need to open your pump lid and fill the pool plumbing lines up with water for a few minutes as well as the pump itself. Also, just before starting the pump, place the multiport valve into the waste position and this may help remove the air lock that may be the cause of the issue. Once the pump primes you can shut off the pump and place the valve back into the filter position to continue priming. Be sure that waste line is open and not blocked when it is in the waste position.

We have a de3620 filter. When on, sends clouds of de in water. Assume filter cartrige is to be replaced. Is that the problem? What cartrige number to use?

Yes it is a 99% chance that the issue your having is due to broken DE Grids. You would require the Hayward DE3620 Replacement Grid Kit.

Complete grid assembly is perfect. Takes the guesswork out if trying figure each grid pattern. Just take out old and replace with new.

(4 out of 5 stars) Some modifications needed for DE-360S housing
Reviewed By: Inyo Customer ()
This is the second replacement filter of this type I have used. (No. 1 was destroyed by a mouse over two winters of inactivity.) To be used on a mid-90s DE-360S, certain modifications have to be made to fit the different shape of this filter assembly's housing. (1) The four plastic protrusion posts at the top have to be cut off at the base of their 'X' cross section. (2) The bottom outer corners of the radial strakes of the bottom grid have to be cut at their outer edges such that the plastic has a rising shape near the edges. A triangular cut about 1-1/8 high at the outer edge tapering to zero about 2-3/4 inch radially inward seems sufficient. The strake with the rounded end can be left alone. When installed in the lower housing shell, the upper plastic assembly at the outer shoulder of the return pipe should not be more than 7 inches above the bottom of the tank shell O-ring support (Marmon clamp and cover O-ring removed). (I discovered I had done this on the previous replacement and forgotten.) (3) The air venting device at the top (dual plastic tube with sock and clamp) has very little room above the upper plastic grid to fit under the shell dome. The version of this device ordered Aug. 2023 could be made to fit by removing the sock and plastic tubing, heating the plastic tubing with a heat gun until it could be bent sharply at the mounting point and curved gently following the top shell shape. This is a bit tricky because the tubing has a very narrow heat range between soft and collapsing. Partial transparency is where one wants to stop heating. The previous unit had a more flexible "expanded" plastic that could be bent more easily, but I noticed that it even so it was fractured at the mounting point. I suspect one could cut the upper edge of the plastic tube with a series of narrow slots where the sharp turn has to be and achieve the desired shape without a heat gun. Once these changes are accomplished, it is probably more practical, in time expended, to use replacement filter sections and retain the modified upper and lower plastic grid parts. I haven't yet done this, however. Otherwise, the filter assembly seems as fit for duty as its predecessor was.

What a buy! Would have had to buy a whole new filter for much more than buying the grid assembly from INYO pools. And so easy to install. Like a brand new filter.
