could I get the OD for black plastic end where the brass threads are. What is the length of black plastic from threaded end to bottom of 3 flutes used to tighten.

HI, The OD of the threaded end is 1/2" and the knob is 1-1/4".

This was a replacement screw for a broken one that was many years old...brittle from the sun. The new item seemed sturdy and well made.
