My original manifold separated and all the laterals are loose. I have trouble getting my arm inside the tank to re-install. Is there a folding assembly available already put together? thanks

Hi Corb, The Lateral & Manifold Assy. For 22" (505-2060) does not have folding laterals, it snaps into the manifold hub.

We replaced the sand in the filter and now are getting sand in the pool. From what we have read that means there is a crack in either the laterals or manifold so are looking to order replacements. My question is: Is this all we will need or is there a gasket or anything that we will need to connect it into the bottom of the filter? And is this the right item? I am attaching a picture of the information on the filter.

Getting sand in the pool from cracked lateral

Written on 9/26/2024 by Guest

I replaced the lateral and manifold assembly because I was getting sand in the pool from a cracked lateral.

With the filter unplugged perform the following:
1) Shutoff the water flow into the filter and out of the filter.
2) Drain the water from the filter using the water release cap.
3) I use my dry vac to remove all the sand from the filter. I have to empty the dry vac into my wheelbarrow several times.
4) Reach into the filter and unscrew the laterals from the manifold assembly.
5) Remove the assembly and all the laterals.
6) Insert the new assembly into the filter.
7) Screw in all the laterals.
8) Make sure the assembly is centered correctly.
9) Put the sand back into the filter.
10) Turn water flow back on into and out of the filter.
11) Plug the filter back in.
