Pot assembly to Pentair DynII (340210) 1.5 HP motor loose and leaking after exerting too much force to close lid. Threads do not appear stripped on Pot Assy, but will not stay connected to motor. Almost like it would just slide in and out of motor. Do I need new Pot Assembly and/or new motor?

Hi, Steve. If the threads do not appear to be stripped then the issue could be the Body Housing. If the pump you have is more than a few years old it would be better just to replace the entire pump. If you purchase a new strainer and housing you're almost at the cost of a new pump.

I need a leaf trap/strainer for my backup Sta-Rite LT-1/6L pump. The Sta-Rite pots seem to be unobtainable. The Pentair 354103 may do the job, depending on its interface to the Pentair pumps it fits. Is the thread on the pump side of the 354103 a standard type such as 1-1/2 MIP? If so, I should be able to adapt it to the ID of a Sta-Rite close union, which will fit the present configuration of the LT pump. See image. Thank you for your help

The Sta-Rite LT series pump is NLA & there is not a trap assy that will mate up correctly. We recommend using mfg # 310-5400 pump & 3410030-1E trap. There will be some re-plumbing involved as the original was a left side discharge & there is no alt or match.

Yes, the 354103 Pot Assembly is the correct replacement for the Pentair Dynamo

Broken pot strainer assembly

After an online chat with customer support, the correct part was delivered within a few days. I unscrewed the broken pot strainer assembly and screwed in the replacement part without difficulty.
