Could not get burner to ignite

Bypassed potentiometer, burner ignited. Problem solved. Purchase new item. Replace by removing control knob set screw, remove knob, remove two hex head nut that held control printed circuit board, follow wire leads back to termination points.

With pliers remove push on connectors from spades and replace with new. Test by turning control shaft. Replace everything in reverse order.

I am a retired electrical engineer and certified gas appliance tech. If ur not knowledgeable of gas or electricity leave this job to qualified person
