I am noticing water under the skirt of my sand filter. I do not see water leaking from plumbling , the valve or the drain valve. Could the tank have cracked eventhough its not been touched? Can some kind of sealer be used to fix?

Hello, when there is a crack in the tank there is nothing to fix that aside from buying an entire new tank, if you try and patch it with a plaster mold it could create a temporary patch, but when it starts to leak the crack or compromise could be bigger.

I do not see wholes in the side of the tank, how do i attach the pipes

Hi, Troy. This Tank Assembly is a top mount style. You connect the pipes to the valve that is clamped to the filter as shown in the Hayward Pro Series S244T Manual.

Hi, Troy. It does NOT. This Tank Assembly is a top mount style. The side mount option is Model # S244S.
