Pros: Works well
Cons: Leak/cracking potential
This is the third valve assembly of this type for my filter. Every time I've had to replace it the reason was leakage from a crack that developed where the pressure gauge is screwed in. The gauges have brass threads that can easily crack the valve housing, which is made of pvc or a similar plastic.

I was looking for a replacement part. The hayward valve worked fine - and I merely needed a new one. The previous one had laster for many years before sun damage led it to fatigue.
