Based off the information in the Hayward AquaRite Diagnostics Manual the transformer should register 2.0-2.9 Ohms.

My power light is off but my displays still are working. I have replaced the PCB board but that did not fix the issue Is it possible the transformer is bad and needs replacing on my Aqua Rite automatic chlorinator??

Hi Paul, I would recommend having some out to inspect the panel or use the AquaRite Troubleshooting Guide to find out what is causing the issue.

What are signs that the transformer is failing?

Hi Tony, The transformer is not going to slowly fail it will either put out the correct voltage or not. On page 10 of the Aqua-Rite Troubleshooting Guide provides you with info on testing the transformer.

Hi Gil, Here is a really good AquaRite Troubleshooting Manual I would follow the steps outlined in the manual. This isn't the normal useless troubleshooting guide, it actually gives great flow charts to isolate the problem.

Works as expected. Other one had a wire that had been singed due to board frying so decided to replace as well to ensure there were no additional points of failure.
