I have a Jacuzzi DE filter, SP70, and some of the threads on the tank are broken and lid is now leaking some. The part # I find on line do not match what I have in my book that came with filter. My part # is 9408-3839-RSPL. Can you direct me to correct part #?

Hi Bill, The LS55/70 System Body (42362400R000) would be the correct body replacement for your SP70 Jacuzzi DE Filter.

Is this for an in-ground pool and what is pool size max?

Gail,Yes, this filter can be used on an in ground swimming pool. The AV80 model filters approximately 38,400 gallons in an 8hr time period.

How do you backwash

Unplug the pump cord. However, if the system has not been operating, plug pump cord into 3-prong grounded electrical receptacle, allow to run for 5 to 8 minutes, then unplug pump cord. Grasp wiper handle on top of filter. D.E. cake may prevent easy up and down movement of wiper plates. To dislodge the D.E. cake, pump the handle up and down until it moves freely. Several pumps may be necessary to initiate any movement of the regenerative system.

Part number 4638-202 is just the filter.
