Hello,
I've purchased the following motor: Century 2.0 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2859 as well as this Jandy impeller: r0479601; the reverse screw that comes with the impeller is a size bigger, therefore does not fit into the motor shaft. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Can i leave out the reverse screw or is it mandatory? Any ideas on where I could find the same reverse screw but smaller?
thank you,

Hello Jeremie. The reverse screw is not necessary to the function of the impeller, motor, or pump. Therefore it can be unused. Please note, the motor you have identified as a Century B2859 is a 2 HP motor. The impeller you identified as r0479601 is rated for a 3/4 HP motor. While this is mechanically acceptable, functionally you would be better served with an impeller rated for a 2HP motor. Assuming you have a Jandy Pool Pump model FloPro FHPM a better selection would be part r0479604. Impeller W/screw & Backup Plate O-ring, 2 Hp (r0479604) When installing the impeller please be sure to change motor shaft seal PS-4280 to prevent any leaking between the motor and wet end of the pump.
