I used a competitor since I had the pool installed. I found Inyo through social media and followed them. Their site gave good information and I never realized they sold pool products as well. I just ordered two items I typically order from a competitor and liked the size and ease of application. Phosfree prevents algae outbreaks which makes pool care so much easier!

Upon opening the pool this year, the weather was not conducive to jumping in. We turned the heater on but left the winter cover on also to help jump start the heating process...wrong idea.
The lack of sun and the few leaves that made their way in over the winter made a mess. There were fuzzy balls of phosphates, very cloudy water, and the filter was almost like a pudding of slime. Added the PHOSFREE (double dose), and cleaned the filter.
Did this again in two days, coupled with super shocking the pool. Did the same thing again in two days. Now the pool is back to its normal regimen of weekly adding the PHOSFREE to keep it crystal clear!!
Thank you PHOSFREE

Pros: Works to keep from phosphates entering the pool.
Cons: None whatsoever. 3 capfulls a week and you're done.
I've had numerous phosphate problems in my pool over the years apparently due to fertilizer entering the pool from the nearby grass. 3 years ago I had a new liner installed so I had all new water and began treating it with this weekly ever since. I'm happy to say that my phosphate levels have not increased over the years like they had in the past. I cannot say for sure whether the Phosfree alone is doing this, but, I would never leave it now. We all know how expensive and time-consuming it can be to have to flock or correct the issue other ways after the problem has begun.
