Product Description

Natural Chemistry MetalFree 1 Liter - Stain Prevention!

MetalFree is a powerful chelating agent that quickly deactivates stain-causing metals. The phosphate-free formula prevents staining and water discoloration caused by iron, copper and other trace metals..

Features:

  • Does not add phosphates
  • Deactivates stain causing metals
  • Will not affect water chemistry
  • Compatible with all sanitizers and pool surfaces

Dosage:

  • Initial: Add 1 bottle per 20,000 gallons of water around the perimeter of pool... not in the skimmer
  • Weekly Maintenance: 4 oz per 10,000 gallons

Tips:

  • Metal Free cannot be used with a clarifier.
  • The polymers in both products are negatively charged; they will repel one another and cause cloudy water.
  • You can use Metal Free with Clear because it is chitosan based product and does not contain Polymers.
  • Metalfree will treat 1 ppm of metal content per 10,000 gallons of water

I was planning on adding some Natural Chemistry Scale Free and Metal Free to my pool. I wanted to make sure that the two are compatible if added regularly to my pool.

Natural chemistry products are all natural enzymes. You will be fine as long as you follow the manufacturers instructions.

No, Metal Free only deactivates the metals in the water. You would remove the metals through filtration.

No. Metal Free will only deactivate the metals in the water. If you have metal stains, you can use Stain Free followed by Metal Free.

i used the stain free product followed by the metal free product. an hour after adding the metal free product, the pool turned cloudy. what do I do?

John, Since the chlorine level has to be at least 1ppm, in some case that can cause th pool to become cloudy. What you can do is get the water tested and call Natural Chemistry at 1.800.753.1233 with the results after 24hrs of the product being in the pool, they will let you what to do.

My current chlorine level in 5ppm. What does the chlorine need to be at before adding the Metal Free? Do I need to add Stain Free first? Do I need to drop my chlorine to almost zero like the other metal out products? I am trying to find a product that diosn't require me to mess with the chemistry of the pool at this point because it is balance but I want to rid of the stains. Thank you

Yes you'll need a low chlorine level for metal free or stain remover to work. Needs to be below a 1ppm.
