POWERclean ULTRA Off-Line Chlorinator
What is the difference between an inline and offline chlorinator?
Reply
An inline chlorinator would be plumbed directly inline with the plumbing. For an existing pool, this would mean a section of pipe would need to be cut out to install the chlorinator. An offline chlorinator attaches to existing plumbing by chlorinator tubing (holes would be drilled into existing pipe to attach the tubing.)

(5 out of 5 stars) Great automatic chlorinator

Pros: Very easy to install. Clear lid is a real advantage over our old chlorinator.
This chlorinator is a real step up from the one that came with our pool 12 years ago. The gauge actually works, I can see when the tablets are depleted and it was easy to install. Only complaint: one of the nuts was missing when the package arrived. Could have been packaged better.
