Could this be used on a pontoon boat

First, the item in question is an upgrade kit for a lift system, NOT the actual lift system. You can view the different available portable lift systems on the Pool Access Lift page. For safety purposes, we would not recommend using these lift systems on a boat, but you can feel free to contact the manufacturer, Aqua Creek Products, at 1-888-687-3552. They would be the best resource to inquire about if they carry a product they do recommend for boats.
