Filter Flosser: Cartridge Cleaning Tool
Filter Flosser was designed by a pool and spa owner to simplify the cleaning of filter cartridges. Save up to 50% on time, effort and water while getting the most out of your cartridges by keeping them clean. Made of durable, polished aluminum, Filter Flosser has a curved nozzle that easily attaches to a common garden hose. High pressure streams of water and air clean between cartridge pleats to rinse away debris quickly and efficiently without getting you soaked by back spray.
With its wide surface area, Filter Flosser provides a fast overall cleaning and can also be concentrated on problem areas for deep cleaning. The control lever allows you to change water flow and direction. Choose from horizontal, vertical and converged water streams to attack dirt and debris from every angle. Backed by a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WATER PRESSURE OF A TYPICAL GARDEN HOSE?
Reply
The Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) calls for water to be delivered to US homes for domestic use at between 35 and 80 pounds per square inch (psi). That varies depending on your water source. Most city water systems produce between 40psi and 70psi of pressure. Houses that have their own well are likely set around 40psi. 50-60 psi is the average household range. The 2009 IRC states "P2903.3 Minimum pressure.

CAN I INCREASE MY WATER PRESSURE FROM THE TAP/HOSE BIB?
Reply
No, you cannot increase tap water pressure without a special pump. However, our nozzles are designed to manipulate the way water is applied which boosts the “impact pressure”. If you find that your tap pressure is generally low, try connecting directly to the water main instead; you should see better results.

CAN I STORE THE FILTER FLOSSER WITH MY POOL CHEMICALS?
Reply
No, we do not recommend storing near chemicals. Our nozzles are made of 100% electro polished aluminum and although the performance will not be affected, harsh chemicals will tarnish and pit the finish and diminish the overall appearance

My pump is working fine, just cleaned the filter grids, there is plenty of suction in the skimmer, but there is no debris caught in the skimmer basket. We had a lot of rain a couple of days ago, and the water level in my pool is all the way near the top of the pool.....Is this the reason? If not, what else can i check?
Reply
Hi Brian, If the water level of the pool is currently above the skimmer then it will not allow the skimmer to function as it should. You will need to reduce the water level of the pool to the middle of the skimmer, so that the debris can be caught in the skimmer basket.

How do I go about cleaning the inside of the filter with this attachment? That has always been the toughest part of cleaning my filters.
Reply
Hi, John. Unfortunately, the Filterflosser can not clean the center of a cartridge. The Power Pic is what I'll recommend that you use to get inside of the cartridge.

I had been using the garden hose and regular nozzle to clean my pool filters, not really a problem or so I thought. I noticed that a lot of the stuff the pool filter caught was not coming off under the pressure of the regular nozzle. I wondered what else was available so I went online to INYOpools.com and found what I was looking for.
The Filter Flosser does a MUCH better job than the regular hose nozzle. It gets into the small crevices between the filter folds and gets much more of the dirt out. Very satisfied. It is not difficult cleaning the pool filters; all that is required is a little time some thought put into shutting down the pump, taking the filter housing off, but really it is very easy.

Works as advertised ... way better than your regular garden hose. If you clean a lot make a stand for your cartridge so you don't have to hold it all the time.

(5 out of 5 stars) Right tool for the job
Reviewed By: Raymond L. from Prattville, AL ()
Pros: Functional design, power
Cons: Cost. A little pricey (but it may pay for itself over time)
The jets on this little hose nozzle seem perfectly matched to the pleats in my "B" sized filter. They have made cleaning a snap. The red stain from our Alabama soil is tough to get off/out of any fabric, but the focussed power at the focal point of the jets got the job done without damage to the filter.

I have been plagued with Cartridge filter issues. The main problem has been that I just can't get them clean. The Filter Flosser changed that dramatically. It has great pressure and cleans out the filter between the pleats and deep into them as well. I could not be more pleased with this product!
