What is the difference between Prevent 30 Algaecide and Prevent 60 Algaecide?

>The prevent 60 is 2 x's as concentrated as the prevent 30. The Prevent 30 has an initial starting dose of 24 to 36 ounces per 10,000 gallons and a maintenance dose of 4 to 9 ounces per week, where the Prevent 60 has an initial starting dose of 11 to 17 ounces per 10,000 gallons and a maintenance dose of 2 to 4 ounces per week. Is this product compatible with Baquacil?

Hi, The Algaecide Prevent 60 Low Foam 1 Qt is not compatible with Baquacil. Baquacil has their own Alaecide that will work with their line of products.

Quat 50 algicide wasn't doing the trick of controlling algae. Hit the pool with the quat60 stuff and problem disappeared and never came back. It even diminished my small dots of black algae I had in spots. I only use the quat60 stuff from now on.

There was no foam and it did the trick for us. Our pool was green with tadpoles. We added the Power Blast Shock and this Algaecide. Perfect within 36 hrs

Each year at closing and opening, I use an algaecide 60 to minimize/eliminate algae. This is my first time buying this specific algaecide 60. Other users reported success with this product. Pricing was better than pool store.

I have used this product on a weekly basis for about 3 weeks now. Pool was free of visible algae at the time i started treatment, so i can't comment on how effective it will be as an algae killer, but it seems to do the job as an algae preventative without unduly affecting pool chemistry. Highly concentrated so you use less for each treatment

Pros: Keeps pool algae free for months. No metals to turn blonde hair green.
Cons: There's not one negative thing to say about this product.
I have bought this product from InYoPools for many years now. It keeps my 20,000 gallons algae free the entire year. I put one quart in at opening, one quart in mid-summer, and two quarts in at closing. I have yet to find a better price anywhere on this product. It amazing how much you can enjoy your pool when you don't spend so much time maintaining it!!

I am so impressed with this product. If used consistently as a maintanence program prevented algae growth. If algae presented itself the product got rid of it immediately. Very impressed. I have had my inground pool for 20 years and finally found the right product.

This is a very effective product and will prevent algae formation if used according to the instructions. I've used it for three years now and have not had any mustard algae at all. Inyo's pricing is very competitive as well, though "free shipping" is offset by the "handling" charge.

Cons: Only (1) domestic manufacturer; cost; unavailable locally.
I used polyquat for years with great success before it became hard to find at local retail stores. I rediscovered it this year at inyopools.com by reading about pool-water chemistry. Using polyquat makes sense because it kills a wide range of pool algae effectively. And preventive treatments make pool maintenance less of a headache. I've also read that it does not disrupt pool-water chemistry nearly as much as other algaecides can.

I recently purchase Algae Prevent 60 along with Pool Shock Power Blast and Concentrated Clarifier. After using these 3 products my pool has gone from green to clean! Also, I did not notice any powerfull odors with this algaecide which is sometimes an issue for me.

very pleased with this product. Put it in my poolwater which was tinted green with algae and by morning all of the dead algae was on the bottom of the pool and was able to vacuum out. Controls against algae very well.

Dont bother with all the other algecides, and winterizing products. This is all you need, and of course a good winter cover. Closed my pool last October, dumped a quart of this in, and uncovered it this weekend and was greeted with the sight of crystal clear sparkling algae-free water. This is the only one you need!

I use this product to clear a small 6000 gallon pool. Just follow the directions and spread the stuff around the perimeter of the pool, mixing it ahead of time with a little pool water in a bucket. Within a few hours, you'll start to see things clear up. This is not just a preventative product--it will actually eradicate existing algae! My pool went from pea-soup green to so clear that I can easily see a penny at the bottom. Great product, great price!
