Pool Solutions Sand-Aid is a simple and inexpensive way to increase filter efficiency. Sand-aid removes suntan lotions, body oils and other organic materials that can clog up your sand filter system.

Directions For Use: 

Before adding this product, determine the pH of your pool water with a suitable test kit. The pH of the pool water must be at least 7.8 for this product to work properly. if the pH is low, add pH Plus to adjust the pH upward.

Shut off the pool filter and broadcoast this product across the surface of the pool evenley, at the rate of 1/4 lb. per 1,000 gallons of water. Do not agitate (or swim in) the pool until the suspended solids have settled to the bottom of the pool...this may take overnight or longer. Do not swim in the pool until the settled materials have been removed.

Remove the settled material with your vacuum. Be sure that the filter is set on the vacuum to waste setting. Do not filter the water from the vacuum cleaner while removing settled solids from the pool. Start normal filter operation after all settled materials are removed from the pool. The use of this product will lower the pH of your pool water. After completion of the above procedures, test the pH of the pool water and adjust accordingly with pH adjustment chemicals to bring the pH within the desired range of 7.2 to 7.8.
