How do I replace the feeder tube in my Aqua genie skimmer?

Leroy, Per the manufacturer, the tube simply pulls out. They did advise that you must access the tube from the top of the skimmer and to be very carefule when doing so.

I believe my problem is called the feeder tube. If it's the tube going into the place where the chlorine tabs are kept, I believe it broke off and now cannot get the tube back in, so not sure how to fix it. I still have the tube, but cannot get it into the area where the water goes into the tablets. Any suggestions of how or why?

If it broke off the piece that broke off is probably still in there and will need to get it out before putting the tube back into its origin.
