What's the best way to clean the cell?

Mix one quart of muriatic acid with one gallon of tap water in a plastic five (5) gallon bucket. Always add acid to the water, never add water to the acid. Always wear eye protection and use rubber gloves. Always work in a well-ventilated areaPlace the cell vertically in the bucket with the cap end down, as shown in right side illustration. Carefully pour the acid solution (as described above) into the cell until the blades are just covered. Allow the acid solution to bubble, and to clean the blades. The acid should only be contained in the cell and not around it. A foaming action will begin, which is caused by scale being dissolved from the plates. If rigorous foaming action does not begin, the cell does not need to be cleaned.

The owners manual says it is a 1 year limited warranty?? Where can I find the 2 year warranty info you listed?

Hello, This is a generic version of the pentair cell. This unit will come with 2-year warranty.

If I replace my intellichlor IC40 with this will it "just fit" or will it need the pluming adjusted?

Time for a new salt cell. Old one showing 80% remaining but salt level good and zero chlorine. Ordered the IC40 and got it ready to install.
Old hookups still worked so no need to use the extras included. Installed easily once, for some reason flow light as blinking and apparently the unit needed to be installed upside down, once flipped over, unit working perfectly right away. Love it.
