Can the Zodiac G4 in-ground pool cleaner be used in salt water pools? Has it any metallic parts that could corrode in salt water?

Yes the G4 can be used in a salt water pool and there are no metallic parts on this cleaner.

Is the Barracuda G4 similar to the Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner?
Reply
Yes the Barracuda G4 is similar to a Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner as they are both suction side pool cleaners. We have had better success with the G4 as there are less moving parts on this cleaner making any repairs very easy, also the G4 does not make the loud clicking noise the Kreepy Krauly is known for.

I have the Baracuda G4 which is discontinued. If I replace with G3, are the parts compatible? I already have purchased an extra diaphragm, the blue "foot", and cassette.
Also, at what point is it more cost effective to replace rather than repair? I have already replaced the above named parts; however, my vac is 7 years old...so not too bad!
Thanx!

Hi, Lisa. The Zodiac G3 is also no longer available. The diaphragm is the only part that can be used on both units.

I have a g4 cleaner, when I use it, it is not vacuuming radomnly, it only keeps in the deep end,
how do I solve this issue

Hi, Vince. Check to make sure that the cleaner is balanced, adjust the hose weight if needed, adjust the pool return inlets so that it's downward. Also, confirm that you're using the correct of hose. They're other solutions to your problem located in the Baracuda G4 Owners Manual.
