I have an aboveground 52 inches deep and I wanted to know if the wedding cakes steps will work on this pool? If so, do you have the pad for the bottom?

The wedding cake step has an adjustable system for 48-in to 54-in pools. We do carry a NA402 Deluxe step pad which measures 3.5' X 5'. You may view this item through the following link: 3 ft 6 in x 5 ft Deluxe Step Pad

Can you recommend the best pool steps for a 16'x 48" Intex pool with steel support top frame and legs? It has soft sides (part of the liner). My wife needs something that is very steady and solid.

For your size pool and assuming you are coming in from the deck, we would recommend the Wedding Cake II Steps.

Will the Wedding Cake Step work with a 45 degree cove extending out from the pool wall?

The manufacturer does not recommend using the Wedding Cake Step with a pool cove as the step could rest against the cove and not sit level. For pools with cove, they recommend the Royal Entrance Step which can be seen at http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001005385.htm.

Will this step / ladder work with a soft side or Intex pool?

This particular product will not work with a soft side or Intex pool but we do carry this ladder which is specifcally designed for Soft Sided and Intex pools http://www.inyopools.com/Products/06300025046293.htm

Will these steps work on an inground swimming pool?
Reply
Unfortunately these cannot be used on an inground pool as typically inground pools have a shorter wall then an above ground pool 42" on an inground vs 48" - 54" on an aboveground pool. With this being said this step would be too tall for an inground as the top step would sit 8 to inches above your deck, meaning that you would have to step up from your deck to get to the top step. We do sell a similar set of steps here >http://www.inyopools.com/miscellaneous_steps_inground.aspx which are specifically designed for inground pools.
