What is the thickness of the o-ring for the Hayward micro-clear vertical grid D.E. filter? I ordered part # DEX2400-k and after cleaning and lubricating the filter body and o-ring and tightening the clamp as tight as it would allow, I still have a leak on one side where the clamp assembly is located. Is there a thicker o-ring for this filter?

Hi Dexter, The Hayward Tank O-ring is 1/2" thick, there is not a thicker o-ring that will fit the Hayward Filter. Make sure that the o-ring is lubed and seated correctly.

There's an O-ring around the plastic drain plug in the bottom of the unit. I didn't see it listed in your parts. Is the the same size as the one on the vertical tube?

Hi Murray, The Drain Plug O-ring is only sold with the Drain Plug w/O-ring (SP1022C). The o-ring that comes with the Hayward DE Series O-ring Kit is for the Outlet Elbow.

The Hayward Micro Clear Filter comes either as a stainless steel or regular model. There are two different gaskets depending on which pool fitler you have. Hello Paul. The Filter Tank O-ring for Micro-Clear, - O-429 is the correct tank body for the Hayward Micro-Clear DE Filter (Duralon and PermGlass). The O-ring Kit - APCK1153 contains the o-ring O-429. Attached please find the Hayward Micro Clear D.E.exploded parts diagram for reference. I have a 25 year old Hayward C-4000 filter housing. The diameter across appears to be 18 inches. It also states 450 series on the label. Will this one fit mine? Thank you.
