Can this also operate an accessory such as a light tonturnit okn and off remotely?

Hi, Tampa. No, this controller will not control any accessory, only the Century V-Green Motors.

Is the unit water resistant? Will be mounted in a wall, occasional/accidental splashing while cleaning the filter area.

No, this device is not water resistant. Because of this, I would recommend installing this unit in a dry space.

Will this work on other motor brands? If so do you have a compatibility list?

Hi, Cale. The Century Motor VLink - VL100 is only compatible with the Century V-Green Motors.

We have a Vgreen-165 Century Pool Pump and the fault code is flashing and will not operate. What are the options to troubleshoot?- do we need a new key pad and if so- would a wireless interface over ride a bad board?
Reply
Hi, Phillipi. When the fault light is blinking, the issue is with the User Interface. Installing the VLink will tell you the exact fault code but will not circumvent the User Interface.

Will this control more than one Vgreen motor at a time? I have two of them installed in our Community pool and I would like to control them both with just one controller.

Hello, you need one per motor that you wish to control.

I can't seem to be able to find the VLInk App for android. They could not be so short sighted as to only operate with Apple products could they?

Hello, the app is available in the Google Play Store as well, just search for "Century Vlink".

Can you install the VLink unit on a new pump before you install it?
Reply
We do not. We offer the V-Link with two of our PureLine Prime Variable Speed Pumps the PL2616 or the PL2615.

I have a 2 Green motor it is the B2984T Can I replace the current electronic controller with this VLink or is there another option (my controller is on and running but not responding to button pushes)?
Reply
Hi, Albert. The 2-Green motors are not compatible with the VLink. You will need to replace the motor since the controller is not responding.

I would like to retain the ability to use the manual control if needed. Has anyone ever tried a two way installation using an RJ11 switch? The installation wiring for remote and manual units to the motor look the same so a switch fed by the lead from the motor should work. Obviously both controllers wouldn’t work at the same time buts that’s fine. Am I missing something? Thx M

Hi Mdricks, We reached out to Century on your question and here is what they had to say... "Short answer: It should work fine. I don’t believe we did any specific testing with any switches between a VLink and a normal user interface, but as long as it’s wired properly I don’t see any major issues with what the customer is suggesting. There may be a significant delay in control when switching between the interfaces, but as long as that’s fine with the user it shouldn’t be an issue. The VLink uses the cloud to store a user’s pump schedule, so disconnecting it from power won’t “lose” the settings. I believe the same is true for the regular user interface as long as it has a cell battery that is working."

Here is an additional comment from Century on this topic. "Just wanted to add one additional note... When working with the VGreen165 ALWAYS hit stop before reverting back to VLink! If you program a schedule on the MOTOR user interface and press start you must press STOP before sending power back to VLink. If not the schedule that was programmed on the motor user interface will continue to run in the background. If this happens the user may observe their pump motor running when their VLink schedules says it should be off. Overall, I don’t see any real benefit to “toggling” between motor UI and VLink. VLink is equipped with a service mode that allows the user to turn the motor on and off and run various override speeds in the event the user is at the equipment without their mobile device. This would also allow their service company to do the same to service or clean the pool."

The LCD display quit working on my current manual interface of my VGreen 270. Would this serve as replacement to the manual unit?
Reply
Hi, Lawrence. Yes, this can be used to control the pump motor in the event that the user interface failed.

I have a VGreen 165 motor and would like to add the VLink wireless adapter. Before I commit I'd like to know if the product is still current and supported. I'm seeing mixed reviews and the centuryvlink.com just redirects to RegalRexnord's website with no VLink login.

Good morning Michael, Century Motors Century Motor VLink is current and will work on current century v green motors.
