Hello,
I currently have a pt 6000 with three lights connected. When turning on with remote they ar each a different color. Then after some amount of time they begin cycling a different color of each light. My question is , can they be synchronized and can they be stopped from cycling?
Cheer,
mr

Hi Mr, You can synchronize the lights and or have it on 1 color, instructions are located in the PT6000 Installation Manual.

Is the fiberstars RM – 6000 tower available? Is there a power tower that replaces it if it is not available?
Reply
Hi Mike, The RM6000 is only the wireless remote control for the Fiberstars 6004 Illuminator.

does this come with the base and two lights? if not, what is the cost for that? Thanks

Hello Mike, The Fiberstars PT-6000 LED Power Tower does not include lights or a cover. If you need lights in addition, I would recommend the PT6000, (3) TREO LIGHTS AND REMOTE - 3TR-PT-6000 that includes the light, cover, and (3) three lights.

how can I clean the tips of the fiber by the bulb
Reply
Hi, James. You can not clean the fiber tips. You will have to re-port the fibers by cutting off the bad section of the fibers with a hot knife.

I have a 10 yr old fiberstar with a wheel illuminating the fiber optic cable.
It is corroded out/broken and I bought the PT6000 thinking it had a LED illuminator in it for the fiber cable.
Is there a kit I can get to put in the box to light the fiber cable. Or can I install one of the old color wheels and lights?
I want to avoid the major job of digging out the side of the pool to replace the existing lens and fiber cable - I'll simply go without a light before I do that.
Thanks

The illuminator that replaces the color wheel illuminator is part number IL-ION-8000-SB.

I have the old Fibrestar system that has failed completely. Currently there are 3 lights installed in the walls of the pool and spa. In addition, above the water level, there is a light strip going around both the pool and spa. I do not know if that strip is in working condition. What is the procedure for removing the old lights and sealing the new ones? If the light strip has failed, how can I replace it, and what part should be ordered?

Hi, David. You can use the PT-6000 Lighting Kits as an option for replacing your current fiber optic pool lighting. You can make the conversion in Easy as 1 - 2 - 3. 1. Pull out the old lens and fiber cables. 2. Pull in your New Treo LED Underwater Light. 3. Change old Tower to NEW LED PT-6000. More info can be found in the S.R. Smith Treo Owner's Manual.

Hello, my light is not functioning properly. Shortly after turning the unit on, the light will turn off. After letting it cool off, you can turn it back on but again the light will turn off by itself. Is there a part that I can replace?

You will want to check how many watts you have going to each channel. The wattage can not exceed 30 watts per channel. If the watage is correct, I would recommend calling SR Smith to trouble shoot. You can reach them at 1 (800) 824-4387.

When installing as a retrofit to an existing fiber optic system, does the pool have to be drained below where the existing light is? Can a light be "snaked" down the conduit instead?
Reply
Hi, Aaron. The water of the pool does not have to be lowered in order to complete the installation. It can be snaked through the conduit.

If this unit does not include the cover, is there a way to purchase a new cover?
Reply
Marc, There seems to be some confusion on this product. The unit comes with the cover. I have updated the image on our website.

I just had the SR Smith 6000 tower installed. The remote seems to be antiquated. I must be missing something. In order to change the color, or color pattern, I must keep shutting off the lights. Is there a better remote, or can I program what I like to come on automatically when I turn them on? Are there instructions with a list and orderof color schemes that I can use?

Hi, Melody. There is not another remote that can be used with this unit. I would check to make sure the toggle switches are in the correct position. You can not program a specific color, the colors are white, blue, green, red, amber, and magenta.

Hi, Tony. Check to see if the toggle switches are in the correct positions. If that's not the problem, you can use the troubleshooting step located on page 6 and 7 of the SR Smith PT-6000 Installation Manual.

We currently have a PT- 6000 fiber system #584301. It consists of 6 multi strand fiber optic lights. The tower needs to be replaced but I want to keep the existing fiber. Will this LED retrofit work?

We need to replace our Fiberstar system. Does this have everything included. We currently have the original fiber to the lens. Is this the entire package??

Hi. This does not include everything, the PT-6000 Lighting Kit is the entire package that you will need to replace your existing FiberOptic underwater light(s).
