The website states that software version 2.6 is needed to use this remote. I am currently using rev 2.43.. My questions is, how do I get the update to 2.60?

The software revision can only be changed by replacing the main PCB board. This would be a GLX-PCB-Main.

Unfortunately they are not. The rechargeable batteries inside of the Aqua Pod remote will last the average user approximately 5 years.

To verify the software level of your Aqua Logic control and base station, press the Menu button (possibly multiple times) until “Diagnostic menu“ is displayed. Press the “>” or “<” keys (possibly multiple times) until the mainsoftware revision level is displayed (the revision should be 2.60 or higher). Next,press the “>” key (possibly multiple times) until the “RF Base” revision level is shown(the revision should be 3.00 or higher).

In the product description, it says that the software needed for Hayward AQL2POD is 2.6. My remote has 1.4 software on it. Can it be upgraded?

The software revision on the AQL2POD remote will be different than the control box. The control box needs to have revision 2.6 or higher. The remote should work fine with your control.

The Aqua Pod is still Haywards elite remote system unless you upgrade to the HomeNet system, which will allow you to control you pool automation from your cell phone, PC or Tablets. (AQCOHOMENET) Before doing any upgrades I would advise checking the software revison you currenlty have.

On any Pro Logic or Aqua Logic display/ keypad unit press the “Menu” button (possibly multiple times) until “Settings Menu” is displayed. b. Press “<“ or “>” (again, possibly multiple times) until “Teach Wireless” is displayed. c. Press the “+” button to start the teaching process. d. Press and hold any button on the Aqua Pod remote for 4 seconds. The Pro Logic/Aqua Logic display should say “Teach Wireless: Successful”. 4. Installation is complete: you can now use the Aqua Pod remote

is INYO Pools an authorized Hayward dealer? most manufacturers will not honor warranty if not sold by one. can I get the remote with out the base, already have one.

My Aqua Pod is about 7 years old. It displays correctly and i can turn on/off filter or pool/spa. Menu button does not work. Also, it does not hold charge more than 1 min.What parts I should buy and replace? Menu and Settings work fine in the built in panel at the pump center.

Mani, if your current control box and RF antenna are in working condition then all you would need would be a new pod. The new Pods are only compatible with Software Version 2.6 or higher so keep that in mind. And review your current system.

Hello Frank- It sounds like you may have an issue with your control panel. I would suggest calling hayward tech support at 908-355-7995 so they can walk you through how to correct this issue.

Hi, Donald. Hayward only have one Aqua Pod. It is compatible with the AquaLogic or ProLogic controller with the Aqua Logic Wireless Remote Base - AQL2BASERF. Programming info is available in the AQL2POD Manual.

Hi, The Day/Time is synched from the main controller to the AquaPod. You will have to adjust the time at the controller is in order to have the AquaPod display the current time.
