What is the difference between the Aqua Logic and Pro Logic?
Reply
The main difference between the Pro Logic and Aqua Logic is that the Pro Logic can accommodate Hayward/Goldline's new Sense and Dispense module. The Sense and Dispense module will sense how much chlorine and pH is in your pool and dispense the proper amount of chlorine or pH back into your pool. You will require a Stenner liquid acid pump & tank or CO2 tank for the pH portion of sense & dispense. The chlorine portion of Sense & Dispense will be taken care of by the Salt Chlorine generator. The Pro Logic also has enhanced user interface over the Aqua Logic and is an overall upgraded system.

Do i just need the light and my current prologic controller which runs my pool filter and spa etc.. or do i have to have a separate controller for the colorlogic led pool light?

You can use just the ProLogic to control the ColorLogic light but you will only be using a fraction of the overall control capabilities. To get the complete control capabilities you would need to order the ColorLogic Gen. 4.0 light here http://www.inyopools.com/lights_colorlogic.aspx along with the ColorLogic Communication Module here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200000040136.htmWhen using the ColorLogic Communication Module with the ProLogic the ColorLogic lights will display 101 color tones, 16 themed shows, while controlling light brightness, speed and movement.

Is the salt included with the salt chlorine generator?
Reply
No, salt is not included. You would purchase the salt locally and the quantity will depend upon the number of gallons of water in your pool. Use a salt that is at least 99.8% pure NaCl. The preferred salt is evaporated, granulated, food quality, and NON-iodized. Avoid using salt with anti-caking agents like sodium ferrocyanide, also known as yellow YPS (prussiate of soda). These cause some discoloration of fittings and pool surface finishes. DO NOT use calcium chloride.

I am putting in a ingrown swimming pool and am interested in a Prologic system with a salt setup and would also like to run the pump , heater ,pool lights and landscape lights . My question is will the PLP4 do everything I want and can I uses the wired keypad with it?
Reply
Hello Alan, Yes the Prologic system will run your pump, heat, solar, How ever if you want the salt the system you should go with is the AQLPLUS, which include the salt cell. THe landscape lights can be tied into the box under a relay switch. System can be wired with Indoor Control Panel & Wireless Remote Control so you can use AQL2BASERF with any wireless remote

Example the PLP4PACK System Includes - 4 relays, 3 valve outputs, no actuators, 8 position breaker panel and 2 temp sensors. The PL-Plus (AQLPLUS) will include Controls up to 4 relays, 3 valve actuators, 1 solar and 1 conventional heater, Salt cell 40k unit, T-cell kit.

Please help! Pic of pool pump. Do you have owners manual to backwash and add DE for this equipment. Your tutorials are helpful but I didn’t see one for ProLogic Goldline for backwashing. My system doesn’t have a rotary dial stating such. Thank you so much for your help!!!
For the Prologic, you would press the service button to override the current setting. It will remain solid so you can switch the valve to backwash. Then you would press the filter button and run the system till clear water comes out of the sight glass. When done press the filter button again to shut off the pump. Switch the valve back to filter. Press the service button again it will blink (time out mode 3 hours) or you can press again to take it back to auto.
