I have an AquaRite which is 5 Years old and think my software is different then the new cell requires. Which cell do I need?
Reply
If you have an older unit (older than 2009) than you would require the GLXCELL15W which you may view or purchase here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02100002048034.htm

How do you determine if the power supply has software revision 1.50 or higher?
Reply
Hi Ted. On your controller you will press the "Diagnostic" 7 times to get to the Software revision level, that will tell you the revision software level of your unit.

My cell is Turbo-cell T-cell-5 3A1004-1035678 AQUA collection. My unit is Goldline
AQ-TROL-RJ-CUL. Which cell do i use to replace my cell ?
Reply
Hi, MichaelPlease be advised that you would need to check in your diagnostics on your control panel to verify that it's inner changeable. If your board is more then 7 years old it will not be and you will have to stay with the same cell you have. Here is a link to the T-cell-5 cell. http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02100000039322.htm?Keywords=t-cell-5

Is the T-Cell-15 compatible my board, if I purchased the Aquarite 15K - AQR3?
Reply
Any of the t-cells will go with the control board, you just need to make sure after installing the cell that you set your control board to the t-cell that you installed. So if you install the T15 you would set your board to T15.

I have a GLX PCB board, the number on it is G1-011056-1 and, when I check the diagnostic board, I get a reading of 2.60. Will this board support a T-3 cell? Thanks for the help.

Hi, Christopher. Yes, if the revision number is 2.60 then it will be compatible with TCELL3.

I have a Goldline Turbocell 9 that I suspect is not working.
My board is a PL-PS -8 (*3LO806 -1024841*) Main software revision 2.86
The board does not offer the Turbocell 9 as an option so I have selected 15 and it has been working fine until now.
WHat cell do I need?
Thanks

The cell you can use would be Aquarite Replacement Cell (TCELL15) - GLXCELL15 or Aqua Rite Salt Cell Replacement T-15 (2 Year Warranty) - PL7106.

My Aqua Rite is reading my salt level at 600 and when we attempted to recalibrate it only changed to -300 before jumping to 600 and then the check salt level and check salt generator light flashed on. Should I assume that my T-3 cell needs to be replaced? It is less than 3 years old and we haven’t had a huge amount of build up in it at all. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Delene. If your Cell Voltage and Cell Amps are within the correct range, then the cell is bad and will need to be replaced.

My T-3 aquarite is reading the salt too low. Pinch-a-Penny tests salt at 3400 and aquarite at 2000. I also took the cell to P-A-P and they said it is still working. I have recalibrated and it only lasts for a couple hours. One other thing that is malfunctioning is when I go to the option to turn the dial to adjust chlorine output, then I turn the dial, the setting doesn't change until I get the dial very close to zero and then it jumps all over the place. Any suggeestions?

Hello, Have you tried cleaning the cell with muriatic acid? If you have, we recommend bringing the cell up to your local Pinch a penny and have them test the cell. If the cell is good, then you would need to change the main PCB board.

I just had a AquaRite 15K installed 3 days ago. I just took my water to Pinch-a-Penny to get tested and the salt reading came in at 2450 and they recommended 1 bag of salt but my system is reading 3100 of salt. What would be causing this?
Reply
You may need to allow another day or two for the salt to completely dissolve if it was just added and or, you may need to recalibrate the system. Please check out our How To Recalibrate the Salt Level on a Hayward Aqua Rite guide.

I think my pool is about 14000 gallons, most pool guys also estimate the same. Question is it a good idea to size the salt generator to the size of the pool? In other words bigger is not better? I am using the hayward t3...

Hi, Robert. Bigger is better when it comes to sizing chlorine generators.
