Do I need to use teflon tape when installing the T-Cell?

No, we do recommend applying a thin coat of lubricant to the union o-rings before threading the unions onto the new cell.

Will this work with an Aqua Logic system or only the Aqua Rite system? Is there a difference between t cell 15 and 15w?

The GLXCELL15 will work with the AquaRite, AquaLogic and ProLogic systems. Depending on the age of your system, you may want to double check yoru software revision. The difference between the 2 cell is that the GLXCELL15 has a 3 year warranty and the GLXCELL15W has only a 1 year warranty.

I have a T- Cell-9 would it benefit me to go to a 25 and would I be able to use the same control board?

Davis, the T-CELL-9 can be used on a pool size up to 25K gallons. If you would like to go to this T-Cell-15 you can, it would be better because it would be operating on a lower percentage will extended the life of the cell.

I have the T-Cell 15 and it's about 3 years old. Do I ever need to add more salt to the pool? The generator says that it's producing, but the amount of chlorine in the pool always seems to be quite low, even at 100 percent output. Would putting salt in the pool help with this issue? The cells also appear to be clean with no visible scaling. Thanks.

Hi Mike, Yes you will most definitely need to add salt to the pool normally you should be at 3,000 PPM of salt to be producing chlorine optimally. I would suggest Salt Test Strips or a Digital Salt Reader to help keep an eye on your salt level.

Is the GLX cell a direct replacement for the T-CELL-15?my system is older, will the GLX work ?

David- Yes the Aquarite Replacement Cell (TCELL15) 1 YEAR WARRANTY Part#  GLXCELL15W is a direct replacement for the T-Cell15, but it only has a 1 year warranty. I would recommend the Aquarite Replacement Cell (TCELL15) Part# GLXCELL15 that comes with a 3 year warranty.

it says that salt is low but when I had salt tested it was really high

Hi, Billy. I would recommend recalibrating the system using the steps in our How To Recalibrate the Salt Level on a Hayward Aqua Rite and also get the cell tested at a Hayward dealer near you.

I now have the glxcell15-w installed on my pool and I need to replace it. My controller is the Aqua Logic and shows Revision 2.85 on the readout. The controller is about 11 years old. What cell should I buy as a replacement? Can I install it myself.

Hi, Larry. This cell is the correct cell that is compatible with your controller. This is a DIY installation.
